Looking up

What a beautiful sunny day! This morning we decided to take the kids out for some fun. They have been stuck in the house for a while now with me being sick and all. So they deserved a good fun day. We took them to the children's museum. We have only been there once or twice before. I got this awesome coupon book from the post office I highly recommend that you pick one up. It's full of great deals all over Manitoba. They had a free admission to the museum which came in very handy.

ANYWAY the kids had loads of fun. It was nice to see them run around and play. Now this afternoon we are finally doing some gardening. I really want to grow potatoes this year but I have no idea where to buy the seeds. Anyone out there know?

Oh my gosh

I feel so totally sick. Last night was the first night of the Masterworks show and it was great. But loooong so very long. You see we all had to be there at 5:00pm, the show started at 7:00. I got home right around 10:00. Oh my gosh I was completely spent.

It's great that Kendra and I are in this together. It's nice to have each other to support and lean on.

Yah so I'm tired and still sick.

sick as always

CRAP. I'm sick. I've got a crappy cold. My ears have been plugged for about a week, I can't take a deep breath, I blow my nose every 5 minutes and my head is throbbing. Add all that to my usual physical problems and you get one tired, worn out, crabby Alexandra.

Oh yah and I happen to have a dance class tonight, tomorrow night, rehearsal Thursday night and the Show Friday and Saturday night. By the time Sunday comes along I should have totally lost it.

Needless to say I am depending on Jesus this week for EVERYTHING. I know I know I should ALWAYS be depending on him for everything. I try....I do, but this week I have no choice I can't do it myself. Thank the Lord for the Lord.
Amen.

The past few days have been a blur. We sure did go from vacation mode to real life quickly. We have hardly seen each other since we walked in the door. It still feels great to be home. I can tell the kids are enjoying being around thier own toys and beds.

So I am going to start a garden this week. I look forward to growing my own tomatoes, herbs, and cucumber. I hope its not too late to get those things growing. I plan on buying the kids some seeds and garden tools as well so they can join in. I mean what kid doesn't love playing in the dirt?

Tomorrow is my 30th birthday. I feel totally GREAT about it. Finally 30. Cool. Ryan and I may go out if we get a babysitter. But I really haven't had much time to think about it yet. I suppose I should considering it's tomorrow!

More pictures of our trip.

Back in the saddle

We finally got ourselves home. We left Bermuda yesterday afternoon and we where suppose to arrive in Winnipeg around 6:30pm. All we had to do was catch a flight from Toronto to Winnipeg.......but that never happened.

I don't have the energy to get into all the details of the twisted tale except to say that we arrive at our Toronto/Winnipeg flight 10 minutes before take off.....we didn't get on. We tried soooooo hard to get there. We did everything we could to be on time but it was seriously one thing after another after another. If something could go wrong it did.

God taught me some amazing life lessons all in one day, one VERY long hard day.

We arrived home this morning. We had to pay an extra150.00 to get standby tickets on the earliest flight. I am completely drained physically. The kids are both crashed out in bed and I should be too.

It felt so amazing to get away to a beautiful place and relax, but I'll tell you it felt 10 times better to come home to the city I love and my own comfy bed.

There's something to be said for getting away, but there is something greater to be said about coming home!

AWESOME

We are still here in Bermuda. Everything is awesome. I don't miss home at all.

Today Ryan and I took a scooter (which my in-laws rented for us) for a long ride. We went to a part of the island called St. Georges. There is this old church there that is very cool and lots of little shops. It ws Ryan who wanted to go as there is a Tartan shop he loves there.

I am struggling with what I should bring home with me. I have bought a few magnets and taken a ton of pictures but the things I would really love to take home with me are, the ocean, the soft pink sand, the wonderful cool breeze, the COLOUR the house's here are painted the most awesome colours.

I need to go as I am pirating someone's internet signal and it is getting low. See ya when I get back!

Here comes the sun

AHHHHHHH! I have to say that I feel pretty darn good today. It's been a crazy week. I still have to work tomorrow but I am totally moving into vacation mode. We will be leaving for sunny, hot, beautiful Bermuda soon. We will get to spend two weeks with my in-laws. The kids will totally love and so will we. I plan on going for picnics at the beach and watching my kids have fun playing OUTSIDE.

A few things I look forward to are, going to a nice hotel for tea, hopefully with real english scones and cream. Going to the aquarium, and having a few dates with my husband. Oh yah.

God IS so good to me.

Thanks so much to everyone who was involved in making Ezekiel 37 happen today. Special kudos to Shane and Nathan and Deanna who joined us for the first time! Wicked job. Lets do it again sometime!
