Number 2

Today we had Trinity's birthday party. It was lots of fun! We had a bug theme because Trinity loves bugs. Any chance she gets she will pick up a bug and play with it which usually ends in the death of the bug.
Thanks to everyone who came! It was great!

Here are some pictures.

sister

I just found out my oldest sister Kellie has a large cyst growing in her. She had a doctor's appointment monday and ultra sound wednesday and the results today. She will be going for surgery soon (please pray), and they will be able to tell if it is cancer or not. Pray.

Things that make me crazy

Do you know what a round-about is? When I drive to work I take Waterfront drive and there are a few round-abouts. These things are pretty cool and really keep traffic moving if you know how to use them. I have noticed that there a quite a lot of people out there who have no clue how these things work. You see it's pretty simple. The car on the circle has the right of way and the other cars yield until it is clear to go. I wish more drivers knew this.

One other thing that makes me crazy is how some customers treat the merchandise at the store I work at. You see it is mostly a toy store so we have a lot of cute kids and there parents shopping. Now it's totally alright to touch things in the store, I mean how can you take a kid into a toy store and not let them touch stuff! We even have some toys put out that are meant to be played with. But taking the groovy girls and rubbing them all over the dirty floor is not cool. Or opening a package that is taped closed and then not putting the item back inside is also not cool. There have actually been parents who have said, "could you watch my daughter/son I just want to go into another store"? !!!! Like WHAT! That's freakin nuts! Or parents who just leave there young children in the store alone and then walk out. There have been times when a parent does that and then freaks out when there child isn't in the same spot they left them in.

I LOVE to people watch and my job gives me great opportunity to watch parents and kids of all types to interact. It's very educational actually.

O.K I'm done. Those are two things that make me crazy.

Birthday Bash

So are there some kind of unspoken children's birthday party rules? You see Trinity's birthday is coming up and I am making the invitations, which means I am creating the list of invites. It's going to be a small party. I like to use these moments (birthday parties) to get to know people better. So I just hope that people don't think I'm weird for inviting them even if I hardly know them.

Who do you invite to your child's birthday parties? Only good friends?Kids that your child seems to click with? Is' a little tuff when you aren't surrounded by people you have known for years. I'm just curious.

Focus

We drove into town at 2:30am Sunday morning. What a wild week we had. The kids where a little thrown off from there usual schedule but they did pretty well. Silver had a blast hanging out with the big boys (they gave him candy non stop) and trinity has so much fun with Sheri's dog (who's name is Bailey but Trinity called him Perry).

The worship which included dance, music, journaling, painting and drawing was GREAT! I was able to do things I have wanted to do for a long time. The worship leader, Chad Block was incredible. He totally understood the huge part dance has to play in worship. On the last night at one point the drummer prophesy over the musicians with his drums and then Chad called me up to prophesy over the dancers through dance. It was amazing. I am pretty much speechless about that.

It was weird to be thrown back into the world of full time ministry. I knew quite a few people from my time on LifeForce. I also met so many new people that had been on LifeForce or Street Invaders before. Working with so many personalities can be a major challenge for me, and it was.

God really blessed me this past week. He spoke to me about focus and pressing on. I am totally encouraged in my gifts and have a renewed passion and desire to see worship and creativity released in Gods people. Ryan and I got to work together which is always awesome. On the last night they have a commissioning service where every kid gets prayed for and anointed with oil. There where 9 prayer stations and Ryan and I where set up at one of them with Rachel Helm (wicked chick), and Scott Francis (good guy). It was a blast. We had someone watching our kids that night and we stayed out until the service was over which was at 3AM! My whole body was shaking from exhaustion.

Here are a few photos from the weekend. I will post more ina few week as I am receiving some from others who where there.

found time

so I have found a few moments again to post. The schedule here is pretty crazy so there isn't much time to relax and do things like blog.

Everyone here who has been working with Street invaders for a while is saying how different this year is. Sheri McConnell has really been pushing more of the arts this year and it's amazing. The worship leader is SUPER cool, Chad Block (Carlie you know who that is), he has been incredible. He and his band are amazing and totally support and want to work with the dancers. We are trying to work as a team and lead each other. One night he said he thought it would be great if the dance just totally took over the worship! HELLO! how cool is that! That happened that night. It was incredible and so fun. A bunch of guys came on the stage and danced like crazy.

Last night I shared with everyone my creative testimony to help them see that we are all creative and we can all use creativity in worship to God in everything we do. It was cool. Anyway gotta go.

Whoa

So here we are in little Eston Sask. It has been amazing. I seriously can't explain how amazing our time has been so far.

Dancers- you guys wouldn't hardly believe the stuff we are getting to do here. The first night we did a drama/dance about starting a FIRE (the theme of Street Invadors is Fueled), and it was really cool. I think they got it on tape so I will try and being home a copy. The dance in worship has been seriusly one cool thing after the other. I am working with 5 amazing girls who are soooooo willing to try and do anything. They are all crazy gifted too. I will try and take some pictures.

I gotta go.
