Truth can be dreams: September 2005

SO at the last minute I decided it would be good for all of us to get out of the house this morning. Silver had dance class at Masterworks that he was pretty excited about and I didn't want him to miss it. So I got the kids dressed and threw them into the wagon. We got there just in time and Silver had a great time. Trinity actually did awesome her self. I think that getting out was just what she needed. She was walking around and having a great time. So now that we're home I won't let her lay down. She needs to keep moving. I'm so glad we went out!

My poor little girlie

So Trinity is pretty bad. She can't move her head at all. I slept with her last night so I could help her change position in the night. She woke up around 11:00pm just as we where going to bed. She was due for some advil so we brought her out to the couch to give her the medicine. She was half asleep so she kept trying to move her neck and she screamed and cried like I have never heard her before. It was so upsetting. After just one day of this I already feel drained. When I came home for supper last night she clung to me and just didn't want to let go. So we sat there on the chair for hours together. I am praying this is over soon. God bless parents with sick children. It's tough!

OUCH!

So this morning Trinity and I where playing on my bed. We where having tons of fun laughing and tickling each other. Then at some point she hurt her neck. She seems to have pulled something. So this is her today

even though she is in pain she still said "cheese" and smiled for the camera! I think she might be on her back all day. She has tried to get up a few times but it's just to painful. I did give her some tylenol but I don't know how much that will help. I think I will go massage her a little to get her muscles to relax.

giving it away

I strongly believe in giving our gifts away. I always want to be pouring what the Lord is teaching me into others. Now I don't mean pour your self dry or empty that's just silly. What I mean is being careful not to hold something (like a gift God has given you) so tightly that you miss chances to bless the world with it. I believe in teaching others what I have learned and encouraging them to go above and beyond anywhere I have been. To see someone God has allowed you to pour into achieve even greater things is an amazing gift. I hope I get to experience that over and over and over and over again.

I starting writing this post like 6 hours ago. I have lost my thought.............. so be it.

What's new?

We are taking a trip to Thunder Bay soon. For those of you that don't know that's where I grew up. It's a city in Ontario about 8 hours drive from here. Ryan and I lived there for about a year just after we got married. You see Ryan didn't know my family and they didn't know him so it was a time for everyone to just get comfortable with each other. It was good but I am glad we live here now. I love Winnipeg. It's been so good to us.....GOD has been so good to us.

Let me tell you one of the best things about Winnipeg. Masterworks studio. If you don't know what that is check out the website. http://www.masterworksstudio.org/
I am encouraging EVERYONE I know to take a class there. They have many different classes for children to adults. This is such a cool place where you can learn new skills, worship God, and exercise. I just totally believe in the vision of the studio. It's such a great cool place that could use all kinds of support. So take a class, send your kid to a class, or heck just donate some money to support what God is doing there!

As you can tell I am a little excited about the place. But it really is amazing. There are also some great teachers there, including Ruth (check out her blog) who is the program director. She's GREAT!

Now what was I talking about? Oh ya our trip to THunder Bay. It should be a good time. I guess that's all I have to say about that.

Busy Bees

We are getting into our Fall routine. Ryan is back at school full time and working a couple days a week. I am back in dance class and even assistant teaching a couple classes! It's very cool. Also I am working 3 days a week at the store (kite and kabootle). Silver is in Nursery school every afternoon and he loves it. Trinity as usual is happy to do whatever.

Silver went to the dentist a few days ago and had two cavities filled. He was SO good. No crying at all. But he bit his frozen cheek and now it is really sore. The poor guy has missed two days of school already and might need to miss today as well.

This post is not ever exciting I know but things are great. We also got out windows fixed and it feels great to have a windshield without a huge crack in it. Oh and my doctor's appointment is coming up soon. I always look forward to those.

Events

So yesterday morning we ran out of toilet paper and milk and had seriously no money. But Praise Jesus the student loan came in today and now we have tons of milk and like 40 rolls of tp! HAHAHAHA!

Last night our car was broken into. They took......NOTHING! Because we don't have anything of value in our car. Just a bunch of toys and garbage. We brought the car in to have the window replaced that was broken and also we still needed a new windshield so that will be done today too. A bunch of cars where broken into on our street actually. I talked to a bunch of my neighbor's this morning while I was cleaning out our car. I am so happy that it wasn't stolen or trashed. SO PRAISE JESUS again!

Also I have had 3 requests for the painting I did on Sunday night. Someone actually offered to pay for it! I am hugely encouraged and want to paint more often.

Tonight

So tonight at the Vineyard we had a Celebration service. It was really good to be able to worship God with others. I tried painting again. It's been awhile since I have attemped it. It's such a totally different experience. Because when you do movement (dance) it's there one moment and then gone, same with a note sung. But a painting is something that people can look at for a long time. Once that paint is on that canvas that's it, there it is to bee looked at, studied, critsized or complemented. I find myself so vunerable in this expression. But I'm still going to do it. I want people to see , if nothing else, that it doesn't matter what it looks like GOD is blessed. We are created for HIS purpose and his purpose is his pleasure. So my I be pleasing to him and bless him. I guess I was just encouraging myself a bit there :) A woman came up to me at the end of the service and told me how blessed she was by my painting. That was so cool. So I came home and finnished it. Here it is.

I wanted to originally do three paintings, one with just the seed, one with new growth, and one with full bloomed flower. But I just condensed it allinto one. I like it.

Here are two shots I got of dancing. I love when Christina dances with material. She's awesome :)

Brain Lateralization Test Results
Right Brain (28%) The right hemisphere is the visual, figurative, artistic, and intuitive side of the brain.
Left Brain (66%) The left hemisphere is the logical, articulate, assertive, and practical side of the brain
Are You Right or Left Brained?
personality tests by similarminds.com

I am not surprised by this result. I love order and knowing what's coming next. I am actually not spontaneous at all. I love to plan.

Anyway, I have tried to post a few times in the past few days and it keeps getting erased. Life is busy. Silver started school. I will post pictures soon.

Today I feel like a failure. Without getting into details I just feel like I have failed in certain areas of my life. Failure is one of my biggest fears so feeling this way is what I dread. But then again like all hardships they can produce strength and character like nothing else. So I will embrace this moment and ask God what he wishes me to learn. Perhaps I need to switch some of my thinking. Maybe my priorities are wrong and I need to review my list. Or maybe I am doing things pretty well and this will strengthen my confidence in my decisions. ????????????????
