Death

Two little girls from Silver's class lost their mommies in the past month. They both battled cancer and both where taken by the disease. How tragic. One woman left a husband and two children the other a husband and three children. I have wanted to do or say something to the husbands but what? What could I possibly say that would be of any help or comfort? My heart is so broken for them. Silver and I prayed yesterday for the little girl who most recently lost her mommie. I tried to explain how her Mommie was never coming home again and I don't think that Silver totally understood.....of course. I think I will get some literature to help me explain. So I'm a bit broken for those families today. Bless them Lord.

Off I go

I leave tomorrow for California again. I am so conflicted. I am looking forward to dancing and taking in this awesome experience but I am also so sad that Ryan isn't coming with me. Actually I'm really really bummed about that. I have been suggesting we move to L.A. for years (before anyone I knew was there). I think it would be fun to live there for a year at least so Ryan could do some acting. Well I guess we'll see what happens with that.

My ankle is healing nicely. I think I may have walked on it a bit too much today though. It hurts a fair bit. It's a nice yellowy green now with some dark redish blue parts. It's really quite yuckie to look at. I tried to take a picture of it but the yuckieness really didn't come through on camera.

O.K I just need to finish up some laundry and then pack a bit. I'll update when I get back. I hope to have a whole bunch of new pictures to show. Have a good week!

So if you haven't heard I sprained my ankle. It's a second degree sprain on two of my ligaments. This is really not a good thing. I am still heading off to California to do some dance on Monday. I have been icing it, exercise it (with the exercise my physio therapist gave me), and keeping it wrapped up. It seems that this will take quite a long time to properly and totally heal but for now I need to just do what I can. I know that whatever dance I do in Cali will be blessed and covered by God but I also know that I will be hindered by this injury. I am depending on God to really work this out. Pray for me if you think of it. For Ryan and the kids too..... I'm going to miss them.

Back Home

We're back from Vancouver. It was a good trip. There where some long days which was hard on the kids. They did really good though. The wedding was nice, the bride was beautiful, and the wine was good.
The flight there was alright. I took one gravol and it worked great. On the way home I didn't take a gravol on the first flight and that was a major mistake! It was the worst turbulence I've ever experienced. I came so close to throwing up. I had to sit with my eyes closed and concentrate on not puking. My hands where clutching the arm rests so hard my finger prints are probably permanently engraved in them. You know when you walk off a flight and the attendants and the pilot are there to say "good-bye have a good day" I found myself wanting to slap the pilot for the nasty landing and bumpy ride, but instead I just said a quick "Thanks" and stumbled off the plane.
We still had one more flight after that so in a panic I took two gravol pills. This was a bit of a mistake in the end. This made me tired, dizzy, and a bit cranky but at least I wasn't nauseous anymore.

I will post some pictures later today. We did some cool stuff like going to The World of Science.

Catch that ball

Silver's first soccer game was Monday. Oh my gosh it was so cute. He is on a team with a bunch of his friends from school. They ran back and forth and had a blast. At first Silver was just chasing his friends and even linked arms with Owen for a while as they ran around. One time when Silver was running after the group chasing the ball he yelled out "Mommie I need rocket shoes!" It was hillarious. He has a game every Monday and Wednesday at 6:00. I am really going to enjoy every one. Here are some pictures from the game.
