Too much

I've just got way too much on my mind these days so I am not going to get into anything too deep right now. Trust me it's much better this way.

I finally had my CT scan on Wednesday. It was a crazy day because I actually went to the wrong hospital first. I ended up getting to my appointment just in time. Then I sat there with an I.V in for a few hours. The actual test wasn't too bad. I am REALLY looking forward to the results. I should get them next week.

My mother just had a big piece of her bowel removed. It's an operation she has been needing for a few years. They couldn't get all the diseased parts out because if they did she would be wearing a 'bag' if you know what I mean. We all hope (my family) that she will start to feel much better and be more active as soon as she is done recovering.

Sorry that's all I have for you today. In my next post I have some questions to pose about dance in worship/church. I would like to get some different points of view about this. Good bad whatever. So come back in a few days and tell others too. I would like to have as much feed back as possible. Thanks.

?

I have been trying to blog for the past three days. But I just can't get out what I have been thinking.

Mostly because I haven't had the time to really sit down. I have so much going through my mind right now. I hope to be able to share some of that here in the next few days.

We've all got somethin' to dance upon

I am in love with modern dance. I just LOVE it! I am taking a class on Wednesday nights and am thinking of taking another on Tuesday.
Listen up for those of you who dance or want to. Take a class. Materworks has so many different classes at different levels. It can be so freeing. I'm starting to sound like a commercial. But really think about it......then sign up in the fall! You won't regret it!
I'm tired. There are so many projects I could be working on. Scrapbooking, which I haven't done for a few months. Painting, which I have the canvas and paints for but just can't get started. Femo sculptures, which I have so many ideas for but yet again just need to get at it.
It's tuff though. A regular day is usually long a tiring and by the time I get to the end of it and the kids are in bed I just want to sleep. Which is what I will be doing in about 5 minutes. Good night.

Star Wars and Valentines Day

Silver has discovered my collection of Star Wars books. They are the series written for 8 - 12 year olds. I know it may sound crazy but I like them! They give a lot of background on the relationship between Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-wan. For those of you who know what I am talking about, you understand....right? Silver has been carrying them around and pretending to read them. He likes the pictures on the front of Jedi with there light saber's. He's so cool.

So tomorrow is Valentines Day. What will you be doing? I am interested to learn how people are celebrating with their families.

I am planning to decorate the house tonight and then make heart shaped pancakes, cupcakes with candy Love Hearts in the afternoon (as a surprise for Ryan when he gets home from work). I want to do a painting with the kids too. Ryan and are are going out at night! CRAZY! A really great girl that he works with is going to babysit for a few hours after the kids are sleeping. I think we will just go for coffee and conversation :) We both love to talk, just about totally different subjects. Anyway have a great Valentines Day everyone.

You are what you eat, so eat something good!

If I am watching t.v it's usually Food Network Canada. I love getting ideas and recipe's. I am starting to see how good food can make life all that much sweeter. Why on earth would we go to McDonald's and eat garbage when we could cook up an awesome meal ourselves at home.

I remember when I was a kid eating some great food. We rarely went out anywhere to eat (there were just too many of us, it would have cost a fortune). I want my kids to grow up experiencing different flavors and textures.

Silver is a crazy eater. He has always been fairly fussy but it took me until recently to realize it is a 'good' kind of fussy. You see he wont eat burgers, hardly touches fries. I have to force him to eat pizza but he loves sushi! He loves to eat black olives, broccoli, rice, guacamole crab and other fish. He actually has good taste in food.

Trinity has always been happy to eat just about anything but her all time favorites are tomatoes (she can't get enough of them), avocados, all kinds of cheese, carrots, and grapes. I just love my kids!

A terrible Fall

So I fell down the stairs today.

It was about 11:00am and Ryan was at work. I was going down the stairs, like I do a million times a day, to do laundry. Something you should know is that throughout the day I throw dirty towels and clothes down the stairs until I have a moment to actually put them into the washing machine. Some of the clothes I had thrown down actually never made it to the bottom of the staircase, but were laying messily on the stairs. I began kicking them down the stairs (as my hands were full of boxes). On the second or third stair it all began to go terribly wrong.

My foot slipped and down I went. I didn't struggle too much as I knew I was going down no matter what I did. I tried to lean back so as not to crack my head by falling forward. My right and left arm suffered some scratching and pulled muscles. The right side of my bum got a good smashing and my legs just hurt all over.

Eventhough it wasn't a MAJOR fall it still freaked me out a bit. From now on I will be more careful when going down stairs that are covered with laundry and carrying a bunch of boxes in my arms. :)

Perhaps I need a new system for the dirty clothes. I guess a clothes hamper would make since and would be a little safer.

colour

Remember how I was saying that I have been buying fresh flowers a lot lately. Well, I am still in the habit and totally recommend it to everyone. I used to think, "Oh I can't buy flowers they are too expensive"! That is totally not true. I mean if you want to go to a flower shop and buy a dozen long stem roses then yes, they would be expensive. But your local grocers has a great selection of flowers at great prices. The Superstore sometimes has flowers in there clearance section. I got these there for 2.99 a bunch!

On a completely different note. Around Christmas Ryan, the kids and I made cookies. This was Ryan's creation. We laughed and laughed. That's it for today.
