SOOOOOO much on my mind

I actually have a lot to say. There are so many things going on in my world right now. Here is a short list.

1. My test tomorrow (a HUGE deal for me)
2. The 10th anniversary at the church this coming weekend.
3. Halloween
4. The Grace of God...I love it!
5. My sore body
6. Being Brave
7. Inspiration
8. Creation

We had a cool little party with some kids last night. I didn't get any pictures but it was great. All the kids dressed up like animals. They played and had a great time. A few weeks ago I got this cool book called 'The pumpkin Gospel'. Basically it takes you though the gospel as you carve a pumpkin. It talks about all the yuckie stuff (sin) that God cleans out and then puts his light in us and we shine. It was cool. That is definitely something we will do every year at this time.

I never realized how many different opinions there are about Halloween. It was never an issue for me growing up and it still isn't. Here is a link that gives a brief history of where Halloween (as we celebrate it today) came from. It's interesting. Not all traditions came from an 'evil or dark beginning'. Anyway I don;t really want to have a discussion about it.

I should go and do some laundry or something. There's always something to do.

Guess what?

So While I was at work today I got a call from Ryan saying that my doctor's office wanted me to call them right away. So of course I did. The receptionist apologized! She realized that it was her fault and rescheduled me as soon as she could. So now my appointment is November the 1st. Now this is a little scary for me considering I have two major dance pieces to do at the church on the 5th and 6th! So please pray that I heal up quickly and can dance like a crazy person on the weekend:)

Thank you for all of those who prayed for me and this situation your prayers helped greatly!

Now that's late!

So yet again I woke up this morning feeling worse. My throat was super sore and nose stuffy. My head was also throbbing. Ryan had to go to church early for practice so I couldn't sleep in:( I was determined to get to church though so I just kept moving. Made the kids breakfast, got myself together, got the kids dressed and finally out the door. We where about an hour late for church. I wanted to give up and just crash on the couch but as Ruth said today "sometimes staying home can be worse than the trouble of going " (or something like that). I know that Silver really wanted to go and play with his friends. Silver and Trinity aren't sick anymore so it was alright for them to be around other kids. I'm glad I went.

On a totally different note. Something really CRAPPY happened to me this week. My doctor's assistant totally messed up my appointment dates for my operation/test and it was given away to someone else!!!!!!!!!!! I was pretty upset. I mean I have waited for this freakin test for months and months and months. Not only did she give my appointment to someone else but she tried to say it was my fault! I mean HELLO! I was pretty ticked. But what can I do? I have to take the earliest appointment they can give me which happens to be about 6 weeks from now! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am trying to see the positives to this. At least I will be able to dance like crazy at the 10th anniversary at the church. Because I will be getting 2-4 small incisions I will have to take it a little easy in the dance department for a week or so after the test. Well that's the only positive I can think of.

Can't find a pen

To hear you say "I love you" wouldn't mean a thing.
I know it in my heart.
This is why I sing.

You're my father, the one I adore.
You're my father, {how can I show you more (this part needs to change a bit)}
You're my father.
I couldn't love.........................I couldn't love you anymore.

Sick

Sneeze.........sneeze.........cough............cough............COUGH...............COUGH. Blow nose, rub sore throat and try not to swallow (it hurts too much). Cough.........COUGH. Boil water to make hot lemon juice and honey. Lay my aching body down on the couch to watch Robots for the 10th time this week.

I thought my little cold was getting better yesterday but I woke up this morning feeling worse. This sucks.

On a separate note I did get Silver costume started last night. I cut it all out and now I just need to sew it. I hope it all works out. I haven't used a pattern in a long time.

Here is part of my philosophy of life.

There will always be someone prettier, richer, more talented, braver, stronger, more flexible (grrrrrr), more successful, more outgoing, funnier, bla bla bla........ So seek God and he will be your comfort and guide. You don't have to be the BEST at anything so don't feel down when someone else goes above and beyond you. Also be released to enjoy your moments of being the BEST. There will be times when you will go far beyond others, DON'T feel bad about that either. People assume that those who are successful at something are perfectly happy or fulfilled. That's just not always true. We all have our journey on this planet and it's entirely different than anyone else's. So chill out, seek God, and take risks.

This post was inspired by Yvonne's blog.

Christmas and Halloween

I am almost done Christmas shopping! Man it feels good. I only have to pick up a few more things and that's it. As you can tell I'm pretty impressed with myself :)

Today I bought some material to make Silver a Jedi Costume. He has been obsessed with Star Wars for a couple of months now. Ever since I let him watch the Star Wars Lego movies on the Lego website. So now he says he wants to be Anikin Skywalker....not Luke, it has to be Anikin? Well I hope I can do a decent job on the costume. It seems pretty easy. I have a pattern for the shirt and the pants. I just have to make up a few other parts. The good thing about this is that I bought Trinity her costume so that's done. I got a great deal at The Children's Place. All the costumes are 30% off, and they have some cute stuff!

I just got a call to come into work tonight. I don't really mind except Monday and Friday are my only "nothing" days, no work, no other commitments either. I just get to relax and work on all the little projects I have going. I guess I won't be sewing Silver's costume tonight. bummer.

Drums

I need some drum lessons. I do play a bit but it's been about 4 years and I was never really that good. Does anyone know someone who teaches?

Back and ready to Attack

Yippie we are home and we had a great time in Thunder Bay. It was a short trip (as usual) but it was great! We arrived Saturday morning around 5:30am. The kids slept most of the time. The last 2 hours, when it was my turn to sleep, they got restless and cranky. But we made it. Here is what we did this weekend.

SATURDAY
Arrive 5:30am and sleep until 10:30/11:00
I have a chiropractors appointment at 12:30
4:00 We all head to Shawne's house (my sister) for Thanksgiving supper. We eat, we hangout, we play bingo. Yes that's right I said BINGO. It's tons of fun and we all get tons of prizes.
9:00is we head back to Erinn's house (another sister where we stayed) and I put the kids to sleep and fall asleep myself AHHHHHHHHHH.
10:30 Ryan goes to play video games with the brother-in-laws until 3:00am. He's NUTS!
SUNDAY
10:00 we go to church. I see my sister Kellie who is having her operation the next day. The kids have fun in sunday school, we get to say a quick "Hi" to people we know and then we take off for lunch.
12:00 We take Trinity back to Erinn's for a nap and Silver and I go to the Superstore and look for a light saber (which he has been wanting).
3:30 We get back in just enough time to head over to Shawne's for a SUPER HERO party for all the cousins.
All the kids dress up like cool hero's and play games and have some food. It was a good time for the kids!!
Can't remember what time that ended.
11:00 We make hot wings at Erinn's and just chat with Erinn and Kris for a few hours then crash in bed.
MONDAY
Get up and go for breakfast with my Dad 9:00am. I love hanging out and talking to Daddie. It was nice.
11:00am go to Chapters and Winners.
12:30 Went to Heather's (antoher sister) and hung out there for a few hours.
2:30 back to Erinn's to pack.
4:30 stopped at the hospital to see Kellie who had just gotten out of surgery. She was out of it so we just left her some stuff and left.
5:30 fill up on gas and get a car wash and then off on the road again. Whew.
